I am passionate about helping children discover their strengths and overcome challenges.
These are a few of my favorite tools as a resiliency coach for children (and a mom of 4).
Learn More
Security.
Security is foundational for a child to remain unmoved by life’s challenges. Standing strong in our belief systems and the deep knowing that who they are is enough. Each Magic Mindset Course begins with a child’s strength-finder test that allows them to see their top strengths. Security encourages children to see obstacles as temporary and not who they are.

Resiliency.
Resiliency skills have never been more important for youth to develop. A child who understands how to reframe their perspective and bounce back from challenges will THRIVE! Learning this mindset changes the game and allows them to find joy and opportunity instead of overwhelm. Grit is the secret sauce of a successful life.

Confidence.
Confidence is essential for a happy and fulfilling life. At the root of a child’s confidence is their perception of competence; a child believing they can complete new tasks and goals. Many think confidence develops from others giving the child praise (which obviously helps). However, studies show it’s their own accomplishments that nurtures confidence in themselves. So we dive into building deep genuine confidence that lasts a lifetime.

Connection.
Connection within ourselves begins with awareness. Compassion is at the foundation of understanding ourselves -and others. With this mindset, your child learns calming techniques based in somatic healing. We talk about the nervous system, navigating emotions, and loving ourselves. As a certified kids yoga instructor, we learn simple breathing techniques to slow down and regulate ourselves. Children learn to quiet anxiety and discover “life hacks” to creating calm within.

Communication.
Speak your truth and learn how to hear others. Healthy communication is essential and includes the skill of speaking as much as it requires listening and reflection. We aren't meant to live on our own island! Communication is a bridge from ourselves to those around us. Children learn the foundations of self-expression as well as attuning to others. Conflict becomes easier to navigate and repair when children have learned solid skills and the art of communication.

Imagination.
Imagination allows children to dream again. I believe that involves more "unlearning" than learning; we are born creative with beautiful imaginations. Albert Einstein was quoted as saying “imagination is more important than knowledge”. With an imaginative mindset, children have the ability to think and go beyond their current situation. It influences everything we do, think about, and create. It leads to elaborate theories, dreams, and inventions. Unlearn those pesky limited beliefs and imagine what's possible -it all begins with a vision.

Inner Compass.
The world can be loud. Children learn habits early on how to quiet the noise. This is our way back to center. Old distractions begin to fade as we once again can hear and trust our quiet guide within. Known as our Inner Compass, this small quiet voice becomes stronger as we continue to visit. Strengthening this in childhood allows our path to stay brighter and clear. We trust our personal choices as ours and we can self-correct as needed, leaving behind any criticism and shame.
